We opened the crib and were really pleased with how easy it was to put together. Its very sturdy and the wood is harder then a lot of the cribs I checked out.I don't think it dents as easy. The color is really beautiful and I was really pleased with how fast it shipped. Our 4 month old son has been sleeping in it for a long time now. It's sturdy, I love the quality of the material, and it's beautiful. If we can keep the wood in good condition, this will be the only bed we ever need to buy him. It's a great value, and a great product. My husband put it together in a very short amount of time. And love the way it turned out to be. We bought the "Sealy Baby Ultra Rest Mattress" and it fit perfectly in the crib. Overall, we are happy to have bought this crib online with a great prize also! :) Posted on February 7, 2011 Jacquie Vanacker says... This crib was delivered Friday afternoon. My 5 and 1/2 month old has been in a co-sleeper since birth, and we decided to move him into a crib. It took my dad and husband about an hour to put it together once all the pieces were would and counted. All the pieces were there, but two of the nuts were slightly stripped (not a big deal since it is a convertible bed and the nuts can be moved). The crib is wider than I expected, but there is plenty of room for the babe to grow into it. The bed is rock solid, and I love that it has stationary sides and comes with a side rail for the toddler bed. There are two downsides: it is darker than pictured, it looks almost black. It does seem to scratch easily, but all baby furniture will eventually! Posted on February 9, 2011 Carissa Pannone says... My husband and I bought this crib for our son's nursery. It matches perfectly with the Storkcraft Tuscany-espresso chair and ottoman we bought. It was very easy to put together and is sturdy. We were really impressed with the quality of this crib for the price that we paid. Posted on February 10, 2011 Rosemarie Dayer says... My husband and I got this crib for our first and we LOVE it so far.Of course the baby hasn't arrived yet.Nonetheless, I would purchase it again.A couple of things to keep in mind: -Not really a crib you can adjust the height on by yourself. At least I couldn't.I tried to adjust it myself for a friends baby I was watching, and all I got for my effort was a big scratch in the side. Oops! But maybe you can if you're more handy than me and not extremely pregnant! -It fits a standard sized crib mattress, but it runs a tiny bit larger. We bought a standard sized Kolcraft Pediatric 1000 mattress at first and it was too small, I could fit 3 fingers between the edge and the side. The Serta one we got to replace it fits much better though. (but not tight, like some of the Serta mattress reviews said it might) -This is purely superficial:My cute jungle baby crib skirt is blocked by the two thicker bars in the front. How sad, there's a big stripe right in front of the Lion and the Elephant's face so you can't see them.:) Otherwise, gorgeous, sturdy, and not cheapy.I guess what else can you ask for from a stationary side crib? It was assembled and took no time at all. Following day had to be partly disassembled 'cos was assembled not in the room it would be used in, and was wider than door frame ... stood up OK. Only cons are: (a) No trudle drawer attached. The product description should be changed to remove all reference to a trudle drawer!! (b) Looking to buy the conversion rails now (and send as gift to same party for later) - in case this model discontinued but I cannot find conversion kits anywhere for Stockcraft. Otherwise a very good solid crib. Posted on February 11, 2011 Roseanna Mesenbring says... After finally getting sick and tired of all the crib recalls, we bought this crib on 6/25 for our now 1 year old. The outer box looked pretty rough when it got here but the manufacturers packaging inside the outer box provided by amazon was pristine. I read all the reviews about the crib arriving with scratching so I hawk-eyed every single inch of every piece of the crib. I found NO scratches. I did find 2 small imperfections in the wood itself which can only been seen when looking closely, but that comes with the territory when using real wood. Assembly directions were very easy to follow. It took us just under an hour to assemble. There is NO WAY to put this crib together by yourself, so don't even try it. The only thing that will result is damage to the crib itself and probably a bad assembly risking your child's life. My daughter is teething and I know some said the crib scratches very easily. She has marked up the wood on the front rail with her teeth but not through the coloring on the wood. It looks more like indentations. It's really not noticeable unless you look closely but if this is a major issue for you, you might want to go with a crib that you can put guards on. I drove to every store and essentially looked at every crib out there. I was so worried about buying off the internet but the price was incentive enough to give it a shot. I can honestly say that the quality of this crib surpasses many of the $400 cribs I saw in the retail stores. Posted on February 13, 2011 Janetta Cobble says... I think this crib is great, its very sturdy and exactly what i was looking for, especially for the price. The only reason i didnt give it 5 stars was because I am finding it hard to find a mobile to fit on the rail. The top rail where most standard mobiles attach too is very thick.Did anyone else have this problem? Posted on February 17, 2011 Eusebia Vorachek says... After shopping around for an affordable, yet sturdy, crib for my baby, I came across this model after the $300 model I wanted was sold out. It was on sale for $149 at the time and I was somewhat skeptical about buying without seeing it first. After reading the reviews, however, I decided to take the chance.I was pleasantly surprised! The espresso color is just the right shade for my nursery, and the crib is just beautiful.I received the item in perfect condition, and setup was pretty quick and somewhat painless. The final result was a beautiful, sturdy crib that compares well with the $500 models around. It doesnt seem to scratch easily although I cannot say how it will hold up when my little one starts chewing.I have leaned hard on it and it still holds up strong. And it grows with my baby which is most important. If you are hesitating on this model, then don't. You'll be very happy with your purchase!
